Update: 3 Tin Man offspring took the Best of the U.S. Alpaca Show 2010 in Ohio by storm..... 2 Blue Ribbons and 1 Resreve Color Champion!! This in in addition to several Blue Ribbons, 2nd places, and a Reserve Color Champ already credited to Tin Man cria.
If you want amazing color and fabulous fiber, The Peruvian Tin Man is your guy. Tin Man's first cria are hitting the ground and the results are nothing less than SPECTACULAR! Rose Grey and Maroon seem to be his most popular colors so far with a 64% Female to Male ratio. His cria are displaying fiber even more amazing than his own. Check out samples under his progeny, Phantom and Vanner.
We have been thrilled with our Peruvian Tin Man cria, they are offering such rich colors with elite fleece and great density. They are solid animals with a very typey head and great coverage. This is The Tin Man's stamp. Watch for his cria to hit the ring this Spring.
While the the Tin Man is a beautiful dark fawn, he really is a grey in disguise or better yet, a stealth grey. He has black gums, eyeliner and his skin is grey. His fleece towers over greys and can even hold it's own against whites. We are talking about elite fleece with The Tin Man. He offers matchstick bundling, very tiny zipper crimp, fineness and density. Add in his perfect conformation and he really is something to get excited about. The Tin Man will raise grey genetics to higher levels and offers invaluable qualities for all colors. With the Tin Man, you can have it all.
The Tin Man is a son of Shades of Grey and Grandson of the legendary dark silver grey herdsire, Peruvian Silverado. Shades of Grey's current stud fee is $5000 in Canada. His Dam was brought to the US enutero from the Canadian Peruvian Importation.
What the judges had to say about Tin Man:
1st Place Halter - Dark Fawn Males - Kentucky Classic 2005:
Judges' remarks: "The perfect phenotype, excellent staple length, consistent throughout staple on his entire body, extreme coverage, and fineness rarely seen on a male at this age. He has Extreme Fleece Characteristics which can even been seen from the outside - down his legs, on his tail, even through the belly"
Reserve Champion - Fawn Huacaya Male out of 40 Fawns -Kentucky Classic 2005:
Judge Amanda Vandenbosch stated, "The fact that this male is 17 months old and a Dark Fawn and maintains such an extremely low micron - is absolutely amazing. You must get your hands on him. He is an Exceptional Male"
The Tin Man is new to the West Coast, so don't miss your chance to be the first to add his superior gentics to your herd.
*** In keeping up (or down as the case may be) with the economy, all breedings to Sunny Acres herdsires are currently 1/2 off. Additional discounts available when multiple breedings are booked. |
